EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is a voluntary instrument of the European Union that aids companies and organizations of all sectors and sizes in continuously improving their environmental performance.

Here we regularly define environmental objectives which go beyond the legal requirements. The realization of the concrete measures derived from these objectives as well as the maintenance of the legal requirements are checked each year by independent experts. Grünewald Papier has been EMAS-certified since 1998.
